There’s no shortage of summer kid’s activities on the Sunshine Coast but one of the most unique might be Gibsons Sailing Club.
According to its website, Gibsons Sailing Club offers sailing lessons for youth ages 8-to-18. Sessions are one or two weeks in length and run from 9am to 3pm on weekdays throughout most of July and August.
Students meet at the shore each morning before heading out for a day on the water. If you’re visiting Gibsons Landing this summer, you might catch a glimpse of these young sailors as they practice in Gibsons Harbour.
No prior sailing experience is necessary as Gibsons Sailing Club offers a one-week intro session for novices. Intermediate and advanced courses are offered for more experienced sailors.
